This year we celebrated our 50th anniversary with a pantomime we have never done before – “The Little Mermaid“. Tracey Blackburn and Josh Milner produced, the second time for both of them, with a script by Steve Eddison.

Very few of our current cast and crew were actually born when the group started, back in 1976, and since then, over 800 people have been involved! We are however, very lucky to have many members who have have celebrated many joyful years on stage with us. None more so than Sally Fletcher who appeared in our very first performance, and has now been involved in 38 of our pantomimes!

Having never done The Little Mermaid before, both the backstage and wardrobe teams had to work hard to bring the vision to life. The under water theme gave room for colour and exciting scenes. We even featured a a group of tap dancing pirates who danced around with mops before kidnapping Princess Marina!
