The was the first panto produced by Denis Willis, and the first with artist Harold Hudson painting the scenery. Harold does our painting for the next 10 years. Pauline Milner left, after 14 years.
It was also the last show in which a live band performed the music. Thereafter, it became difficult to find a pianist and so taped music was used.
It’s also the last show where the programme shows the dancers as three groups, with 30 girls altogether. Future years have less girls, so went to two groups.
